F1 » Marko: Hamilton 'always a topic' for Red Bull Racing

Even though both Christian Horner and Lewis Hamilton have been at pains to dismiss the recent speculation, you can always rely upon Helmut Marko to stir things up again, can't you...

rubik. i dont think that seb would mind. in fact he might even relish the idea.
but the fact that marko said that, is no surprise. any of the top drivers would be "always a topic" and this would include alonso. for any team to dismiss the possibility of signing lulu, or alonso, or even the next "hotshot", would be a mistake.

I base my opinion on Vettels' behaviour last year Richard, when pushed hard by Webber, who isn't considered by most to have the raw pace of Hamilton...

Can you imagine for a second what would happen if Hamilton entered the team and then blew Vettel away, or at least regularly out scored him??

Vettel vs Webber, Vettel has the clout. Vettel vs Hamilton? Not so much. If Hamilton or another top driver was in Red Bull the team would not side with any of the drivers like they did last year with Vettel. What Marko says is plain common sense: any team who has the slimmest chance to sign Hamilton and doesn't consider the posibility, isn't doing it's job very well. In my opinion if Hamilton sat in the Red Bull tomorrow people would get a better idea of the limits of Vettel's talents, with Hamilton beating him more often than not. Just my opinion.

I don't understand the Ron Dennis comment and guessing you're referring to the Alonso issue?

Did you ever watch any of his GP 2 drives or some of his wet weather races (Silverstone great example)

How could Ron Dennis possibly have helped out in either of those situations?

Uccio Fanclub & Mozartist - will we be flying "our flag" outside the tent @ Silverstone this year?

April fool!

Don't forget that there is a strong link in between Lewis and Ron Dennis (Although Ron is officially not the McLaren F1 boss anymore!)
Ron's ex wife is, as you all know, the aunty of Lewis, which also explains why he has always been financially supported by McLaren. (This already started when Lewis was karting)
