F1 » Trulli 'fired up' for Team Lotus' home race

Jarno Trulli: This is our home race and we want to do our best to make the fans proud of us. There will be a lot of support for us in the stands and having been here for a week I've already seen that the level of support has gone up a lot since last year, so whatever happens it will be a great weekend for us.

If both cars make it to the finish line it will be considered a wonderful weekend. If at the race they sign 15 more developmental drivers it will be a great weekend.

One of the two 'homes' Richard.

Much like Mercedes GP is also considering it a part home race, and so is Group Lotus with their Renault connection.

Only difference is that this team is actually owned by Malaysian backers, while the other two are just sponsors.

While Petronas sponsored BMW-Sauber, they considered Malaysia one of their 'homes' too.

If a team has a single sponsor in a nation which hosts a race, it is a 'home circuit' for them. Or at least thats what they say when doing PR work for that sponsor.

You could have a pack of Turkish Delight in your top pocket and suddenly Istanbul is a home track, thats how all this PR crap works nowadays.
