Surprised to hear there wasn't an investigation over at Toro Rosso after Buemi's sidepod cover fell off in qualifying, followed by this in the race...

No investigation when a spring flew off a Brawn car that nearly killed Massa either. FIA in charge of safety but seem more concerned with running the series.

6kgs is a lot. What if the car finished in the points and was underweight but TR appeals because it was lost during the race? What happens then? Do they keep the points?

@Fletcher, in a word, no. if the cars only had to be overweight at the start, they wold have full tanks of fuel. they could well end up wieghing less than 500kg at the end of the race, and that would make them far too fast
