F1 » Webber tyre decision 'the team's call', confesses Horner

On a 'rotten' day for Mark Webber in Shanghai, the Australian wound up a lowly 18th in qualifying for this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, following a crucial tyre choice error by Red Bull Racing

Really Commodore? So Webber saying it was his choice was a complete lie? Sure his KERS didn't appear to be working, or he didn't want to use it, but the tyres were his choice.

We all like to think there is some sort of conpiracy against our heros but the truth is usually simpler. Our hero made a **** up.

Andrew he said "we" not "I".

Mate I don't have a problem with Vettel. He deserves
his position. What I do have a problem with is the way Mark is being treated.

3 G.Ps in concession with problems is a bit much to ignore.

As I said in another thread even Newey displayed his disgust prior to Mark beginning Qualifying.

commodore, i have been supporting mark and said that he can fight back. of course horner will say it was a team choice, one of this team is mark! mark said that he opted to go uout on the hards as they considered that there was enough pace to use them, but admits that he didnt get enough heat in the tyres and there was not enough time for another lap. you and i know that mark speaks his mind, and if he disagreed with the TEAM decision, then he would have been quite vociferous about it. i stil see him coming back during the race, and further on in the season. sometimes youu win, sometimes you lose.

Richard at this point of time their is to much of a loss cycle.

Surely if KERS is not beyond the realms to support the car of Vettels why is it a failure in Marks.

I really considered RBR had got their equality sorted
however the past 3 G.Ps are casting doubts.

RBR would not do that to Mark, after all, RBR do need Mark as well to get points for RBR to defend their constructors. If Vettel finished 1st and Button & Hamilton always behind, McLaren will catch up.
