F1 » Hamilton wins, Webber stars at sparkling Shanghai

He had been criticised pre-race for having failed to manage his tyres well in Malaysia last weekend. In China seven days on, Lewis Hamilton was the Pirelli maestro - but it was Mark Webber who stole the show in Shanghai...

Lulu's pass on Vettel was nothing special Vettel had all but given up then and decided 18 points was better than coming together or further down the field. Lulu had some far more spectacular passes in the race!

Great race and well done lewis, but for about the first 12 laps or so they didn't show the leaders, they were more intrested in the middle of the pack. This is not the first time this has happened, it would have been nice to cut back every couple of minutes just to see how the front runners were doing.

For all those complaining about speed, at least it's not as bad as down south here with Fox Sports Latino where the interupt the podium ceremony and press conference broadcast to interview their homeboy "Checo" Perez. They had a field day with Australia

Same thing with "Chicharito" over at Manchester

By the way what's the deal with the F1 live timing commentary completely playing down Vettel's early overtake on Hamilton when both were on similarly worn tires and yet when Hamilton passes Vettel on tires 9 laps newer at the end if the race they are going bananas like it was the only overtake all race

Webber was nearly forced off the track a few times which put him in the marbles and he still kept the pedal down. And the comments were a warning shot over Vettels head. The pass Lewis made on Vettel was a total surprise to Vettel. He never defended. Either asleep at the wheel or preparing his 20 min victory speech.

This is my first post. Great drives from the whole field - I was amazed at the driving skill into the first corner (although Webber did go off briefly) Drive of the day was between Lewis and Webber.

Gotta say that the the line "if the race had been 4 laps longer then..." is a stupid statement.

That's like saying if the race had been 20 laps shorter Nico would have won. If the football match had been 5 mins longer we might have scored an equaliser.

The race is a pre-determined length and ALL the teams adjust their strategies as such. Maybe Lewis would have done a 4 stopper anyway.
