Funny that this happens with a Ferrari driver again. This could easily be explained as an cover up by FIA which, since Germany last year, stands for Ferrari International Assistance.

the wing only opened for a second, and does anyone believe that alonso pushed a button to see if it would work in an non-use zone? just an electronic glitch that also appeared on the williams at sepang.

funny to see here how every error is somehow alonso's fault no matter what. come on ppl grow up, now i understand that most of you guys here are british and you still hate alonso for 2007, but take a step back and see things for what they were, i hear no one saying nothing about hamilton father you i bet huge money on that played a big role in all that messy story, yet hamilton and alonso clearly had no issues with each other so you ppl should let it go too

No one should be surprised that it happened to a MID PACK team. It's usually standard to have things go wrong. As richie said it happened at Williams.

If this had happened to McLaren then there would have been screams of protest from Ferrari. Sauber were penalised for a minor infraction involving the camber of the rear wing so what is the difference?

alonso should have had a penalty regardless he wasn't advantaged or not or weather it was a glitch or not rules are rules. inconsistencies yet again and this was only the third race of the season. i am a mclaren fan and have always been but you can bet your last penny that if it was lewis behind fernando and that happened on lewis car there would have been a penalty given. differnt story but did not agree with fernandos penalty last week as neither driver went out so what the problem also lewis penalty was marginal. it just seems like that some teams can get awy with it and others are penalised
