Ferrari's race pace is OK but they can't qualify at all. They need to study the clever RBR flexi / active floor cause its the way to go. Mcl had a good race in China but there is no hiding from the RBR quali pace which was way ahead of JB & LH. C'mon Ferrari, get that active floor ready for Barcelona!

This is not a knock on Italians...maybe it is. Ever since Brown and Schumi left there is a gap between Ferrari and whoever is at the top. The crew had changed, and the Italians replaced the 'foreing' crew including the the guy at the helm. This was done for the sake of having an all Italian outfit. di Montezemolo should be looking for the most capable man just the way they are looking for their drivers.

They need to realize that 'being Ferrari' doesn't automatically means winning races. Instead, what they should do is hire new designers that come up with an innovative car instead of starting with a decent but conservative design and then try to perfect it like they've pretty much always have done in the past.
The latter has worked very well for them then, when they had endless money to blow on track and windtunnel testing, but now that is no longer allowed by the FIA, they need to recognize that races are won first and foremost on the design table right from the get go these days and it's no longer possible to win with a conservative design, even if they could maximize its performance.

If he wanted to improve this team, he should have fired the management last year after they threw away a World Championship. Ferrari is burning cash, and for what, when you have the wrong people in positions they shouldn't be the whole effort ecomes a waste!

He sees how Merc has moved forward. He is just expecting the same from Ferrari. Blaming the wind tunnel apparently didn't impress Luca. It's not like you don't run standards on the unit for calibration on a weekly basis. Don't think he bought that one.
