F1 » Alonso: I see first sign of light at end of tunnel

Fernando Alonso: Fifth place is not the sort of result one can be pleased about, but today I am happy because I felt the car was more competitive than it has been in the first three qualifying sessions of the season. Getting into Q2 without using the soft tyres is significant.

The three tenths to hamilton and rosberg should still be a concern for the race, but alonso has at least been consistent, tommorow we will have more of an idea as to whether mercedes have relegated ferrari to fourth in the pecking order

I hope it is a train.

Massa hasn't been complaining this year, he has been getting on with the job.

Alonso meanwhile has moaned for the past 5 weeks solid.

jello your a bit blinded by your obvious hatred of alonso aren't you massa has complained plenty this year and any driver that does not complain when their car is seriously off the pace should hang up their helmet and retire immediately. Also for every comment alonso has made regarding the car not being quick enough he has also praised the team and said they have the ability to turn everything around

If I hated Alonso i would have mentioned how he was trading emails of Ferrari data in 2007, the blackmail in 2007, the cheating scandal in 2008, having to get his team to let him past Massa as he wasn't good enough to overtake in 2010, his disgusting behaviour in swerving at Petrov after the Abu Dhabi race in 2010....

That would be hatred :P
