F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Who was your Turkish delight?

Sebastian Vettel made it three-from-four in F1 2011, Mark Webber recovered to claim his best finish of the season to-date, Fernando Alonso really took the fight to the dominant Red Bulls - who was your Istanbul star..?

FA did really well in the trukish race..he was driving cautionsly ...but surprising what stole the show was webber overtaking him behind a rather shaky overtaking risk...he wasnt steady and was unsure...maybe he was thinking about the flip over in montreal last year...speaking of kobayashi..i think he willl move to Rebull..just a matter of time..if honer is watching him..i think rosberg will move to ferrari!..he a cool and collected driver..better suits with FA..he does his job and FA does his job also....with rumours MS leaves F1?..maybe? but he should pair up with massa..what MS needs...is someone can race with him..it seems everyone wants to beat or crash with M.S..every race end up like that..

Have just replayed Turkey for the second time and still sitting on the edge of the seat with raised heart rate throughout. Nothing boring about it with so much action all through the field it is impossible to keep track of all my favourites. Kobayashi was outstanding, Alonso also rock steady and Webber fierce in coming back at Alonso after it seemed he was destined for 3rd. Maybe the bored watchers should concentrate on crash derbies or Nascar where subtlety and tactics are replaced by brute force and ignorance.

Stirring drive by Webber. That's the problem with starting 2nd though. The dirty side of the grid is horrible for the launch. Still, it was a strong drive with a terrific multi corner overtake of Fernando. Red Bull pitted him earlier than he wanted for his first stop. Fastest lap once again, and considering it is Seb who loves to add these to his tally, Mark is doing a ripper job. Last season, Mark and Seb were separated in qualifying by thousandths more often than not. But in 2011, Webber needs to find those final 1/10ths in qualifying. The race results have been 5-4-3-2 so lets see him go 1 better next round!

Not that I like doing it, but I give my vote to SV for his excellent qualifying drive, particularly the courage to stay in the pits and not do a back up run in Q3 thus preserving his tyres (MW was even more brave in this respect because he was more at risk with his time), and the clean fast get away in the first few laps building the cushion so he was never at risk but then not overdriving and risking later tyre degredation. Text book stuff.

When Kobayashi overtook MSC even after MSC ran him INTO THE GRASS...I thought two things..

"Wow Michael... really?" *facepalm*
"If I was a principle I'd want him... now"
