What??? Fewer spectators, is THAT the idea now Bernie?
This is like Turkeys voting for more christmas!
While you're on a "roll" Bernie, why not have fewer races, fewer laps and fewer teams? Hell, why not get rid of F1 altogether? That'd certainly be "greener"!

Ridiculous suggestions again from a guy who no doubt flies everywhere on a private jet. Even to the shops probably.

..and another thing.

How are tracks supposed to pay back the bribe, erm, I mean "price" of staging an F1 race? Already in the millions of pounds a year, fewer fans coming through the door would mean even higher prices per head.

Can't see how that could possible fail. (groan)

Can't believe so many of you actually think Bernie is suggesting fewer fans. It's irony....facetious....joke with a jag...exaggerating to make a point pr whatever else you want to call it.

Some of you really got to read between the lines more

Is this the second or third time we have seen this story now??

This is, I think, the best example of taking things out of context to generate comments/site traffic that crash.net has done in recent memory.

That would please the Eco-Loonies in Belgium then, as according to the promoters for the 2nd year running it's had the lowest attendance of any F1 race.

But Mr.E's just pointing out that F1 is infact very green, with all its off-setting and 'green' initiatives, whereas football is horrendously bad for the environment, with the world cup generating 2.8 million tonnes of CO2e, none of which was off-set.

just looking at the headline, maybe it could add "fewer teams at gps would make f1 greener".

and looking at the photo, i hadnt realised that jean was as vertically challenged as bernie!
