Lets hope both Webber and Hamilton can keep this up tomorrow so Vettel qualifies third at best. For the championship's sake, we need the likes of Webber, Hamilton and Alonso to start pegging back Vettel's championship lead.

Yeap, it would be very nice to see somebody else at the top of the grid - the question is do they have the goods to top Sabina-One-Finger. Outside of that, it's just Friday practice...I would not put too much importance on that excersice as we don't know many of the factors/components of the set up and strategy.

rob, just to encourage your love affair with seb, it appears that a number of his fast laps were done using HARD tyres, when all others were on softs!

saying that, it is only practice, and the order could change a bit tomorrow. interestingly, both hrts are outside the 107, at the moment.

did you see my note on ebd and engines? i went off topic on the webber thread about practice 1. interesting! previous reports about mclaren and brawn seem to be incorrect. only the two teams who cannot adapt have complained, everyone else seems happy, having spent millions to develop their own solutions.

Divide and conquer. Bernie and FIA trying to upset the apple cart between the teams. Williams has worked with Bernie before on this method. Speaking of 107 rule it appears that has as much to do with changing the rule as it being a moveable aero issue. More of trying to keep the second tier from missing races. FIA and teams knew last year what Red Bull perfected and said nothing.

Richard said "it appears that a number of his fast laps were done using HARD tyres, when all others were on softs!"

Umm... no. Vettels was sitting in about 12th position when he came out for the first time on softs. His top time was most definitely on softs and beaten by both Webber and Hamilton also on softs.
