F1 » Lewis: Only I can beat Vettel - even in a slower car

Rarely short on self-confidence, a bullish Lewis Hamilton has claimed that right now, he is 'the only person who has an answer to Sebastian Vettel' in F1 2011 - and he is fired-up to turn the tables on his Red Bull Racing rival

@mickymike
SV won in Monza in 08 the rain and ...in a Torro Rosso!
That should answer your question.
LH has always been in a good teams and best cars as far as I know.

I actually was starting to like LH... liked his attitude after the last race. But all went downhill again after this...
Give FA the McLaren and we'll be speaking and no I am NOT a FA fan.

I realize that drivers like to trash talk and play head games with each other but who is this statement aimed at? Surely it is not Vettel. This is a slap in the face to Button more than anything. So much for all of the claims of harmony at McLaren.

@TJ
Mate, if imagining/believing it was LH who arrived at Yas Marina last year as championship leader makes you feel good, I am happy for you :)

You may consider a visit to a good shrink though.

Right these are facts.

LH was dominant in karts at a world level.

Dominant in British Formula Renault.

Absolutely DESTROYED everyone including team mate Sutil in F3 Euroseries.

Won GP2 Championship at first attempt.

Had the measure of double world champ Alonso in firsr F1 season.
He may be cocky but he is a serious talent end of.

In a way it is true. Ferrari have yet to get their act together. Mark Webber is having an atrocious time. Jenson Button's performance is somewhat so-so and Kubica is out of commission for this season. Lewis is the only other driver won a race this year and is most likely to beat Sebastian because right now there's really no one else.

If this guy was from any other country he would be a laughing stock.He IS in a slower car and he cant touch Vettel.Total asinine rants from the downside of his bell curve.

I hope he's got something for the finger. This is beginning to look like the "Michael Show" from years ago. It was fun to watch the artistry in motion but it's more fun to watch close-quarter racing!
