Williams and McLaren before signing with Toleman for his F1 debut in 1984 - but why did they pass up the opportunity to claim the Brazilian?

I wonder why the article does not mention the name of the other driver at Toleman?

It was Johnny Cecotto correct?

Toleman today is which team? Renault via Benneton correct?

I was always under the impression that Senna chose Toleman. His reason being it could only enhance his reputation if he did well and, that he would not be "blamed" if he did otherwise.

While not the talent Ayrton was, why are teams passing on Bruno now?

Schumacher, Heidfeld, Buemi, Sutil, Di Resta, d'Ambrosio, Trulli, Barrichello, Alguersuari..... all slower drivers.

I am still in shock now after hearing what the man who made the Senna film actually said about him last night on the radio, that must be the "big twist" that everyone keeps talking about in the film,i would love to watch the film, but i just don't think i can.
