F1 » Lewis Hamilton: Maybe it's because I'm black...

An angry Lewis Hamilton was in no mood for pulling punches after what he described as a 'shambles' of a 2011 Monaco Grand Prix, during which he claimed some of his rivals were 'frickin' ridiculous' and the treatment he received 'an absolute joke'

top driver, total world class and one of the most talented drivers to ever sit in a F1 car,but...in a way he has a point but this is racing and you cant have the things go your way all of the time, but to pull out the old racict card. Jesus christ man, grow up and pick your toys up and put your dummy back in. look at Jenson and take a page out of his book!!

It is a great time to change the subject,:). Years ago over here in the states, we had a show call Wide World of Sports. And, when the show started they had a brief intro that included the words, "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat". Watch the last half a lap of the Indy 500 and what I quoted will all make sense.

You might like to read this article from MotorTweets.com before you make any further comments. We have all said things in jest at the wrong time and in poor taste in the height of emotion. So lovers and haters of Lewis take a look at yourselves first

Id have paid good money to witness him return to mclaren after that interview!

“Immediately after the race he was very down, and during a post-race TV interview he made a poor joke about his penalties that referenced Ali G. However, I'm pleased to say that he chose to return to the track a little while later to speak to the stewards about the joke. They accepted his explanation.

'he chose' :)

Stupid, mindless yes..but a joke. At least his moves today were to actually try to overtake and make the race more exciting. Danger is what's involved in F1. I don't believe he intentionally ran into either of them. The take on Massa was way too opportunistic, but the collision with maldonado was just a racing incident. If no one made the moves it would always be processional! LH isn't afraid to give it a go and it's cost him many times before (think back to when he destroyed his front suspension last year and singapore). Lets be honest, no one would want him to stop trying to overtake as the sport would be a little more boring. But maybe he should calm down before he speaks to the press in future, as what he said today was pure frustration and anger.

unlike on Saturday when he went to the press on his own initiative and criticised his team/engineers for the strategy this time he was advised to go back to the track after he had left and apologies to the race stewards for what he said, seeing that he got himself in real trouble by what he said he sheepishly went to the stewards and licked up all he said.
