F1 » Lewis Hamilton: Maybe it's because I'm black...

An angry Lewis Hamilton was in no mood for pulling punches after what he described as a 'shambles' of a 2011 Monaco Grand Prix, during which he claimed some of his rivals were 'frickin' ridiculous' and the treatment he received 'an absolute joke'

**ishima people won't allow him to enter their place. they will chase him away coz they would be apprehensive that he might cook another race theory or create some kinda new problems for the fukushima residents lol

He will be regretting his comments once he calms down....

Without wanting to sound like a racist..... this is such a black thing to say as I have had many people have ago at me, using their colour as an excuse...

Point taken he was just quoting from Ali G... but wasn't a good time to do so!

Ignoring the black comment.... I don't see what he has to moan about... all of his moves were shambolic and disgusting! So many moves to "ram" people out the way when he wasn't even beside them at the very least... how he can say Massa and Maldonado turned in on him when they probably couldn't see him is a joke.... the only reason him and Schuy didn't come together was because of experiance and has probably played the same trick himself!

LOL! This is fun! Hamilton and Alonso, the 2 biggest cry babies in F1. I am truly enjoying their comments!

Everything is always wrong, and more importantly, someone else's fault.

Well, boys. What separates boys from men is responsability and to be able to admit when you're wrong.

Got Two words for these 2 kids: Grow up!

This headline is totally taken out of context. He was clearly joking and the full quote is "Maybe it's because I'm black, that's what Ali G says".

Gutterpress headline. Crash, you should be ashamed.

As I am not a Hamilton fan, I have to admit that he is a pretty good driver, but here in Monaco trying to overtake in most impossible corners and not backing out it's MAD. Lewis, when you overtook Michael, you almost pused him in to the wall, that would have been a big accident, perhaps it would have ended up with a hospital trip. Then you went and tried the same with Felipe, but he is just as eager as you were to score and that ended in bits and pieces, that was a fair call from the Stewarts. And then you go and destroy Pastor's race and you are the one that feels cheated? Why is is always that Lewis and Fernando keep asking the people in front of them to move away so they can pass ..... Good race from all, spectacular drive from Seb, Fernando and Button.

If you keep crashing into other cars and cannot pass without barging them out of the way then course you'll be hauled up before the stewards. Talented? Yes. Hopelessly optimistic when it comes to overtakes? Yes. He wasnt far enough alongside and massa being in front can choose what line he wanted into the hairpin. You can't go for a gap that is fast disappearing. He's beginning to sound like Casey Moaner in Moto GP. Brundle normally calls it right and he says Hamilton was at fault.

I read his comments on other websites prior to Crash releasing this story without the REAL quote. Sorry Crash I may be disappointed with Lewis today but I am disappointed with your editorial methods to get hits.

Hamilton feels targeted by the Stewards, thats his feeling and his opinion in the heat of the moment wether he he right or wrong. I don't believe he is a victim but it's nice to see a driver speak how he feels regardless. As for "its because I'm black" , he said that tongue in cheek and jokingly. So crash is trying to make a story taking what he said in a different context.
