F1 » Lewis Hamilton: Maybe it's because I'm black...

An angry Lewis Hamilton was in no mood for pulling punches after what he described as a 'shambles' of a 2011 Monaco Grand Prix, during which he claimed some of his rivals were 'frickin' ridiculous' and the treatment he received 'an absolute joke'

Regardless of whether the race thing was in jest or not, it doesn't have a place when you're ranting about being victimised by the stewards because it's still a serious issue. As for him feeling victimised, why? In quali, he was nowhere near Massa and chucked his toys out of the pram. In the race, he drove into Massa when Felipe was actually turning in early to avoid Webber (something Lewis didn't seem to notice). As for Pastor, Lewis was close but not close enough to make a move. In Monaco you need to be alongside to make the pass into a corner. Lewis wasn't.

I'm somewhat confused over the blind defending of Hamilton by his fans, Massa has a right to defend his position , he was there or thereabouts on the racing line so Hamilton has a gap that's always going to close, and did Hamilton get out of shumacher's way or did he overshoot marginally and guess that multiple world champion would take advantage of that? Given jenson's awful luck despite all the hard work wasn't he gracious in defeat?!!!
I think lh needs to examine his behaviour post race, if any other driver made a comment relating to race in jest they would be hung out to dry!!
His arrogance and self belief are nessecary to drive at that level but their is also the subtle art of accepting responsibilty without losing too much face, it's called having a little class! He represents not just himself but a whole history of motor racing when he speaks, perhaps Mclaren should stop pandering to him or let redbull or Ferrari deal with him.

I have a good idea for f1 bosses thats put slots in the track and make the cars like slot racing cars then they wont hit each other,f1 is racing and the stewards and all these rules are ruining f1 lewis is a racer as are some of the others so let them race for god sake in my mind lewis is up there with the best and yes i mean senna, senna raced knocked a few off the track but he was a racer, lewis is a winner so exciting to watch but the stewards seem to decide who wins races nowadays i wish senna could come back and be a steward .

good on you lewis for saying what alot of people are thinking esp some people who post on here anyway.
monaco is notoriously hard to overtake then to give drivers penalties for having a go and accidentaly bumping into other cars is a total p### take the only sensible thing is to stop holding races at monaco as it it 95% of the time a glorified traffic jam

LOOK!- take any working class dude off the street and train em up and they could be champion. A street kid will always toffs in sport.
Hamilton is light years ahead in raw skill and his rivals all know it. They're riddled with jealousy and it always shows.

One race one car one time trial in a space age simulator.Thats the only fair way to prove the true champ.
