F1 » Kobayashi boosts Sauber after Perez crash

Kamui Kobayashi: I am very happy. I was struggling a lot in qualifying, but the team did a great job with the pit stop strategy today. The call for the tyre change came at a perfect time. It was no problem to go for such a long stint with the super soft tyres, and I think they would have lasted even longer...

yet again he delivers result and i wasnt really surprised abt this - i just dont worry any more whether he'd score point or two, he just does it. and he will on next gp.

collision with AS was a hair raiser but it seems that Kamui knows even in situation like that which parts of the car to make contact with - not front wing but wheel rim so both parties would be undamaged!

though AS's puncture was probably a result of this and sorry for his fans.. but i guess they're now even - remember Korean gp last year Adrian?

still, 13th to 5th in "MONACO".. amazing.

Brilliant drive once again. There aren't many who could drag that Sauber around the track like Kobayashi. Just bothers me that he doesn't get the fan base he deserves.

Kamui fans like myself will be marking the June 12th weekend to be especially impressive. Kobayashi has said in the past his greatest disappointment was his showing last year at Montreal. Looking forward to an inspired drive for redemption.

He is becoming one of The Drivers. Can pass when he needs to , keeps his cool when he needs to and calculates throughout the race. He is evolving into a mature driver in my eyes. Koba rocks!!

Seems like a good lad to me, knows how to overtake, no dramas, quick, and most important- NOT A WHINGER!!

Why is he liked by EJ but, virtually ignored by Martin Brundle?

Talking of M Brundle, I am a big fan BUT anyone else notice the masses of mistakes he is making now? Is it because he doesn't have time to reflect on what is going on now, I swear sometimes he hasn't got the same tv picture I have, and sometimes wonder if we are even at the same race!!
