F1 » Bahrain back on F1 calendar; takes Indian GP slot

"Hopefully no body will turn up to watch it." It isn't about who turns up and watches it, it's all about the television audience. F1's purpose is to have as many people as possible tune in to watch the worlds fastest advertising billboards. It's purely the advertising money that drives F1. If no one tuned in the sponsors would soon take note.

But yes, the decision to go ahead is repugnant and morally indefensible.

This is ridiculous. Why does the Indian GP have to be reorganised because of Bahrain? If Bahrain missed their slot...tough....they should have to wait til next year. It's a fricken joke!

Absolutely disgusting. The South African GPs in the 80's hurt the image of F1, this is far worse. Wonder if Vettel will go? He could take Prost's example and skip this race - probably still win the championship.

The teams are going to protest the longevity of the season and I sure do hope that they cancel the Bahrain GP instead of the Indian GP. The race will be awesome at the new Buddh circuit which looks really exciting, instead of the boring Sakhir circuit, apart from the obvious reason of racing in a country that's on the verge of a revolution.

Russia getting Sochi Winter olympics while they were attacking Georgia and killing innocent people and now we're going to have Bahrain GP, while clearly human rights have been violated there, people tortured and put in the jail with no reason. I guess it's all about the money nowadays. Not to mention, I don't remember not a single good race in Bahrain Tilke track, been boring fest right from the start. I would make Bahrain track as an example for learning arhitects, what not to create.
