I'd like to know what the 47 Bahraini doctors and nurses who simply provided treatment to injured protesters and have now been charged by a military court with attempting to topple the kingdom's monarchy, think about the proposal to reschedule the race?

Their point of view, would be something I would find most instructive in terms of developing my own opinion on the matter.

While I am against the GP returning this year...

You can't say that the F.I.A are being unreasonable about the situation, it seems to be ok over the now so they have every reason to believe its all ok again, if they find out that they are lying or the problems start again then they cancel it.

You can't really ask for more, unfortunatly F1 is all about money now and until the F.I.A take control of the rules and organising of F1 again, they can only "do what the leaders want"... or in lehmans terms... do what Bernie says....

again, the fia president is taking a sensible option, some 'skewered' article editing from crash net though, who along with others selectively ignore where a massive amount of F1 money comes from. Perhaps the whole F1 series, and every series under governance by the FIA should be boycotted and not just one race.

After seeing the Todt interview where he said, " the situation in Bahrain will continue to be monitored " .I feel reassured the FIA will not do anything stupid .javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':)')

Sounds like a response to the negative press they have received since the announcement to me.
I particularly like the comment 'everything is back to normal in Bahrain' Yes the uprising has been quelled and people are back to being oppressed!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normal???????????

Awake... there wouldn't be another about face if things were lovely. There wouldn't even be a about face if things were half lovely. So if you say its back to normal they may NEVER get their race back.

Googolplex, the charges the doctors are facing is the refusal to treat sunni patients, allocating a tent @the roundabout without authorization, moving medical equipment and medicines without authorization, stealing blood from the blood bank which was used in staging the injuries.
That is why they are counrt.
