seb hit the aptly named wall of champions. it looks as if merc are again using fp for light fuel load runs. they seem to have decided that this is important, but others believe that full to half tank running is a truer indicator of race pace. looking forward to quali

richard - merc is known for their straight line speed so it was not unexpected that they would set quick times here. The question is will their tires give up sooner that the rest come race day.

mark. i was referring to the fact that in practice, the mercs always appear fast, and some posters think the great day has come. however in the races, their pace is nothing spectacular
haug himself has admitted that they have been concentrating too much on low fuel runs.
lets see what happens in quali. probably in the top 10, but unlikely to be in the top 5.
And merc now say that they are concentrating on the 2012 car, so it looks as if they may have thrown in the towel for this year. just hope they can withstand other developing cars.
