Good. F1 needed a result like this after all the recent negative press. Imagine the backlash if Button got his win taken away after such an amazing race finish on primetime European TV!

The commentators and other experts had it right. If Button and other drivers had been taking that line lap after lap, i.e merging to their left after exiting the corner, then he had every right to do so if he was unaware of Hamilton being there. He did not deliberately squeeze Hamilton as video and telemetry showed that was his normal racing line and common sense says he could not see the other car in his peripheral vision or rear view mirrors.

Great race, exciting finish. I'm glad they didn't gift the win to Vettel but I do think Button was at fault for taking out Alonso. In these conditions, racing incidents are to be expected. Good job Button!
Regarding Hamilton, he seems to be cracking. The stewards definitely need to reign Lewis in with a penalty at the next race. His over aggression is becoming dangerous. I here Maclaren are working on a new wing for the next race, it's shaped like a snow plow. :)

These things happen in racing, changeable conditions usually increases the chances of driver errors, alonso or button could have elected to give up (not race?) the turn, hamilton was entitled to attempt a pass (could he have gone the other side? Easy for me to say), button wasnt obliged to let him pass, today was jensons day, he raced and won.
