Yes Sean that did appear unethical however they are allowed to race as team mates which is the way it should be and in essence Lewis needs to recognise he has a contender in Button.

@ Track position:

If that was totally correct explain Stoner/Ducati-Rossi/Ducati. Story for elsewhere I suppose.

When is another driver, it's “race incident” . If it was Lewis i wonder if it would be called “race incident”. I'm starting to feel disgusted about the media. Must of the British journalists were blaming Lewis on twitter. EJ even suggested that Lewis should be one year out of F1. Shame

The whole affair would be laughable if it wasn't so painful. You know we would have a different headline if Lewis had won the race. The F1 Stewards can sugar coat it any which way they like, it just goes to prove in my opinion that Lewis's post Monaco race comments were valid, even though everyone chose to look away from the situation, embarrassed because he had asked them to look in the mirror.

As for the BBC race team-only person I have a smidgen of respect for is Jake. DC and MB were tripping over themselves to retract their initial comments that Lewis was to blame when they saw different camera angles of the Lewis/Button “racing incident”. EJ flips from one view to the next and generally comments without first thinking-he may think he is playing devil's advocate-he just comes across as ignorant.

Totally agree. and DC themsleves said as much during the race when describibg the Hamilton/Maldonado incident (I think it was) in Monaco. Different vantage poins/angles will surely affect the apportionment of blame for an incident. I think DC and MB should be commended for reserving any “categorical” judgments before viewing several replays and, even then, being open enough to change their opinions in light of new evidence.

I like how the stewards explained their decisions in detail. It helps to give them some credibility. However, if Lewis had squeezed another driver off the track like Button did, he would have been penalized. Jenson had a rare good race where he actually passed people. He deserved the win in the end.

I'm a Hamilton fan, but he needs a cooler head. The Mclarens had the best race set-up, and like Webber said there is no sense in taking yourself out at the beginning of a long race. I suspect that Button was fed up with Hamilton passing him like a revolving door and tried to cut him off, but Hamilton's car DOES have a brake pedal like everyone else's.

Mr Lewis Hamilton words which he said after Monaco was 100% truth full and accurate.Anyone who denies the veracity of those words are in denial or just cunning about there own inbred behavior.
No punishment for incidents on track that caused driver retirement and obvious incredulous and racist words by Lauda with no comments from the F1 press or the cunning ones on this crash forum.
You are what you are stop denying and be men for the first time in your lives, leave the closet and show your true selves.

commodore. yes, it is on all sites and on bbc news. i dont find it unwarranted or unbelievable. there is increasingly a risk of a more serious accident, hopefully that wont bring a fatality. interestingly, emerson fittipaldi said the same, but there is less comment about it, and that was before montreal.
but dont forget, these guys raced when there was less protection, so they may be equating it with cars of their era.

You hit the nail on the head Richard.

Different era.

The comment of Lauda was a little bit over the top in
my opinion.

I am not defending anybodys actions but the guys on the circuit yesterday are to-days professionals.

First people whinge about to much steward intrusion and in the same voice are calling for it
