Ok, they delayed the decision on Buttons move till after the race, had that been Hamilton I'm sure they would have give him a drive-thru already to calm him down. JB made a rare mistake then and at best it was hard racing. Once he won there is no way they will take that from him as it is good for F1 that Vettle didnt get max point... lets hope a few more takes points from Vettle to make the championship a harder fight for all of them. I have nothing against Vettle, but is about time other have some luck too... :) (btw this is all tongue in cheek ofc!)

I half expected the stewards to penalize Button just to prove that Lewis is not being punished because he is black. I really don't see the difference in the JB-FA incident and Lewis taking out Maldanado in Monaco. Perhaps since Lewis gets in trouble so much he no longer gets the benefit of doubt?

Sense from the Stewards on this occasion - but, although the Driver Adviser is a good step, we still need a team of permanent PROFESSIONAL stewards who attend every GP - that way you will get consistency.

@Mark
The difference between JB/FA in Canada and LH/PM in Monaco is huge.
Monaco
LH trying to pass PM on the inside when PM was already on the racing line
Canada
FA trying to pass JB before the chicane when JB was on the racing line.

JB even moved over onto the kerb as far as he possible could to try and avoid contact.

I cannot believe all the negative comments on this forum, I for one thought the race was the best in years and think that the stewards made the correct decisions even though I don't think it should have got that far in the first place, for all those that think I'm wrong and are in favour of drivers not taking chances and let's face it the clue is in the title “RACE” I have the perfect solution, instead of racing all together maybe F1 should adopt the old superbike staggered Super pole system and avoid any possibility of contact and then call that the result on a Sunday afternoon...I just wonder how that would affect the viewing figures.
Let racers race, please.
