What is "normal" about Vettel being 3 seconds a lap off the pace ?

He is widely reported to be running with no blown diffuser this morning, as they will have to race for the British GP.

For this weekend, the sole change is they are not allowed to alter the mapping between Q3 and the Race.

I doubt RBR will be so far off the pace once they work out how to set the car up without it, but they may well loose their dominant position in Quali and the close rivals may well catch up and pass the last couple of tenths on race pace.

So we might actually have a race on for the 2011 F1 WDC.

Me too

If it is not so, we will have a drivers championship that will be as bad as the racing has been good, or rather classic.

More than anything, Pirelli deserve our great thanks and admiration. In a corporate world increasingly dominated by bean counters and play it safe strategies, they put a lot on the line in the hope of entertaining us.

dave, it is quite normal for seb to be low down in early practice, so there is nothing unusual. the bull has the pace, witness mark being fastest. if seb was running in silverstone spec, then that is a good move so as to get some prior info.
