F1 » Valencia to edge Barcelona off F1 calendar in 2012?

It might be widely-regarded as the dullest and most processional race on the annual F1 calendar, but speculation suggests Valencia could just be set to replace Barcelona as the home of the Spanish Grand Prix

Keep Valencia and get rid of Barcelona?
That is one way to kill off formula one in Spain.
How they justify keeping Valencia on the calender?
Money, money, MONEY!
Catalunya is a great track, Valencia a boring track that sends the drivers and fans to sleep (counting corners comes to mind).
In that case at least MotoGP stays at Catalunya, Be a great shame if Formula One leaves Catalunya for that boring track that should not even be on the map!

Even with DRS & the new tiers that managed to make the usually dull Monaco race a decent one
Valencia produced a dire snore fest
Valencia should be dropped and yesterday if possible

I think there's an error made by the editor on this article... He's clearly missed the punchline.

What on earth is Sir Bernie thinking keeping Valencia and getting rid of Barcelona. Artifical rain was at least funny but this is down right madness!

With a headline like this, i really do hope one day the teams will break away from Formula One and create a series where the sport is good, you get to see closer racing/over taking and race at proper tracks and give the fans something to cheer about.
It is about time Formula One saw things from a spectators point of view, end of the day people are paying good money to go these races and what do they get in return? No comment!
Why race at this boring track, when there is a better track about 15-20km away called Circuit Ricardo Tormock and MotoGP fills the place.

It's a shame the people with the power don't give a **** about the sport. Bernie gets all these races in the far east where noone cares about F1, and now in Europe the traditional tracks are being taken away and replaced by modern Tilke rubbish! Apparently we might lose Spa soon, and Istanbul which is the only good track Tilke designed. All these ideas to improve the show, but get rid of the tracks the fans and drivers love going to! Barcelona never produced much excitement until this year but Valencia is probably the worst track in Formula one.

Please God no....I never thought I would say this but a breakway series might be a good idea. Todt can't even decide what to have for breakfast nevermind how to do his job and as for Bernie...that idiot will kill F1 with his damn money grabbing ways. These F1 tales are getting so dull and pathetic now,I reckon I'll stick to MotoGP,WRC and WTCC......but I do wish someone would listen to the real F1 fans who spend a fortune at the races. ( I fly from Hong Kong to sit in the rain in Shanghai every year)!!!!!!!!!!!!
