Nobody knows how the changes will affect the teams, hopefully their will be a levelling out process but I suspect that the top teams will have found ways to regain some of the lost performance leaving the rest of the grid to struggle as normal. It would be nice to think that one day F1 will be free of all of the random rule changes and technical gimmicks that ruin the sport at the moment, unfortunately I think that is unlikely to happen given that the top teams are only interested in maintaining the status quo and Bernie Ecclestone is only interested in making yet more money. How about sparing a thought for the fans who just want straightforward competitive racing without all of the gimmicks that we have at present.

Hey ajay. well said, i hate all these gizmo's that are making the sport boring!
No high tech gizmos, bring back manual gears, an engine where the drivers right foot decides how much power they can use, instead of a computer helping!
Also the sport would be more cost effective then too!

Valencia is not suitable for F1, touring cars would be interesting to watch there though!

Well anything has got to be better than that bore fest Valencia what a joke that was,i think Mclaren will go well here and i think there is every chance that either Lewis or Jenson will win the race on Sunday and hopefully they will both be on the podium.

We already have racing without gizmose its called "classic". Surely even a lot of the armchair brigade are driving cars with gizmose, computor controlled fuel injection, flappy paddles, stop/start, auto braking etc. etc., so get real we don't want to lead an industry that beomes retro, we need advancement.

Advancements? Like FI racing running a so called world engine? A one point six litre four cylinder turbocharged with a capped RPM and power output and a fuel restriction? I would certainly call that a specification series.
