Vitaly Petrov says he is positive that injured Lotus Renault GP team-mate Robert Kubica will return to F1 - but there was scant other good news for the team on the opening day of practice ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone

I really hope robert makes a hugely successful come back. He seems like a great bloke aswell as a great driver, but f1 is tough on those in peak condition, nether mind those horrid injuries. Here's hoping for a miracle.

About a week ago I saw some pics of Kubica and his girlfriend. Those injuries through the high zoom lens looked pretty gnarly. Yet, I still think we will see him this year on Fridays at the end of the season.

I would want to see RK in F1 car this year but he has nothing to gain by doing that. Next year comeback would be fine.
As long as LRGP wants to wait for him for a bit longer. It seems there will be no change in top teams in 2012. I cant see Webber or Massa wanting to move to LRGP.
