McLaren claims that the engine rules appeared to change again during opening practice at Silverstone, apparently to the benefit of rival Red Bull.

The common theme, from both Horner and Whitmarsh, as well as most fans, is why the hell change the rules in the middle of the season. No other sport would ever do this. It's absolutely absurd and clearly a kneejerk reaction that has no thought put into, merely policy on the run. We are seeing the results. It's all starting to look a little amateurish.
