F1 » Fernandes calls for rules clarity


Following a heated exchange between McLaren and Red Bull at Silverstone, Team Lotus' Tony Fernandes insists that F1's rules need to be simplified for the good of all concerned.

I have a bright idea suddenly. Just fire 2 cilinders to keep the engine pumping at the max. These two cilinder exhausts blow free in the air and the cold cilinders can blow on the diffuser. But maybe that is exactly what some are already doing now.

race fan, Tony Fernandes is a team owner. He does have a right to ask and is entitled to an opinion. Looking at the majority of the posts on this thread it seems that most agree with him.

The problems begins when you have RULES. If there weren't any, probably there would be no problem at all. FIA is getting too inquisitive, and as long as they keep tinkering with the rules, we are going to see these issues more and more
