i agree that nico is good, but to brand him another schumi, is way over the top. he has not shown a magic touch that schumi or seb showed. nevertheless, i would expect to see him getting race wins in the future, but probably not with merc.

Agree with Richard on this. Rosberg has talent and does reasonably well in the car. To call him a 'young schumi' is pushing it though. The way I see it Rosberg is not agressive enough to be a real champion. He seems to hold station and finishes more or less where he starts without much action. A bit of a boring driver actually.

No chance!

Rosberg is a quick driver, but his racecraft is nothing like his dad's.

All I have seen from Rosberg in battles so far this year is braking very early and just letting someone past (Hamilton in China was a good example), giving the "red carpet treatment".

He is fast and does well by himself, but he doesn't seem to have the balls to battle.

Besides, Schuy had won a race in his 1st full year of F1, why? Because he got the team behind him to design and setup a car around his needs, Rosberg maybe the faster driver now, but he isn't running the team as if he is the lead driver... he won't win until he gets treated like a lead driver.

(Famous last words... this comment is all too similar to what Peter Collins said about Mansell and winning a race "he won't win a race aslong as there is a hole in my a**e")

That's all he needs to squash any confidence he may of had left after being with Mercedes.....its like being slapped on the other side of your face with that comparison.

Nope, I think Ross is just trying to boost Nico's confidence, because that it very far-fetched...

Sure, Nico is solid, but ultimately unspectacular. Average would be the word that sums up Nico...

And he's 26 already is he? By 26 Schumi had won 2 world championships and about 20 races.

Schumi is a special, special driver while Nico simply isn't.

As has been mentioned, Vettel is the young Schumi. It was clear to me when he shone in the Torro Roso 3 years ago and it was confirmed when he won at Monza in the wet in the STR, which was remarkably similar to Schumi's win at Spa in 96 in the rubbish Ferrari. Vettel has those special capabilities, Nico doesnt.

Haha...sure, like a young MS that has never won ONE race. Though, who can fault Rosberg, or MS, The Brawn Mercedes is a junk pile. 7th and 8th place machines.
