So lets say either Buemi and Alguersuari do poorly during a race while their teammate does well, it would be safe to assume that the team will look at Qualifying to see who is the better driver. I say do your best in both because maybe Toro Rosso will be looking into Quali to see who stays.

I really hate how saving the tires from qualifying can benefit you in the race. I don't know if this is possible, can't we just give the teams fresh sets of tires on race day? I would think this would really make qualifying exciting to watch since all the teams would be going flat out to try and get the best possible position.

Logical thinking, his poor qualifying has saved him tyres for the race and has put it to good use.

Don't get points in qualifying so why not, he is making the risk work and has now got ahead of Buemi in the championship.

The Toro Rosso isn't a fast car so having fresher tyres makes all the difference!

Alguersuari's been knocked out of Q1 i the past few races and scored points in all of them. Makes you wonder if there's any point in quali at all these days.
