Also, what is this whole thing about having a good personality being worth about 0.5 sec per lap?

It's similar to someone being wild = being fast:
Nigel Mansell was once considered the best driver in the world (while Senna and Prosty were still around!!!) Similar for Montoya who shaded Ralf (but then Fisi and Trulli managed that. Button's better too) but Raikkonen's driving was on a better level. I think Alonso's better than Raikkonen anyway.

I agree. If he's gonna drive the car anyway, I wish him well. I still like the guy even though and think he's good, but not with anywhere near the potential of Hulkenberg.

Narain Karthikeyan has a greater fan following than Chandhok in India

Yes Kovalainen will be faster than Chandhok as
a) Kovi has been continuously driving f1 cars and he is fast
b) Chandhok is not as a fast as kovi but I am positive he will meet Trulli's performance

yes I am indian but I know how to differentiate facts from fanboyism or prejudice.

When a team is in so much finacial trouble as this team they will try anything to get some money in, the big problem with this move is Vijay Mallya controls all the money for motorsport in India, Chandhok has never been close to the money only has his dads Politicking and friendships

I hope Fernandes knows what hes doing, this PR stunt could go terribly wrong, and like a previous post I hope Chandhok dosent ruin someone elses race

Why don't you all grow up a bit! Trulli's been acting like a "journeyman" for years now. Kovalainen is quick and a fairly known quantity. Put Karun up against him and see how quick he is and give him some seat time! simples!!!
