Lost out on fourth through no fault of his own at the end, but at least Felipe has been racing against the front runners in the last couple of races. Ferrari have improved to the point where four tenths off pole with low track temperatures appeared to be an underwhelming performance, finishing the race in second and fifth in the same cool temperatures though meant that for the second consecutive race, they were the top point scorers at the end of the day, continued improvement will be required to avoid falling back and keep the pressure on opponents who now all have the sent of victory.

could not agree more ferrari came a long way since the first races but they still need to improve in qualifying, and i must say is good to see massa find some pace because lately he was kinda absent from races, let's hope it will last

The gap seems to be getting bigger between Alonso and Massa, 52 sec. Massa needs to sit down and think about how to get back to form. Or he is finished at Ferrari!

LucaDM has reassured Massa he'll be in the seat next year. So, Webber has to sign that RB contract now, or it's the beginning of the end of his F1 career!

flip has lost none of his ability. in fact, he has gained a new lease of life. ut ferrari are using him as a sacrificial lamb. they held him out on old tyres so he could act as a block to lulu and webber, allowing ferdi a better chance of passing. he also did well fending off seb for many laps. and his last stop being late, meant that he , like seb, were running on worn tyres for some time.

Richard,i think Massa drove a really good race and he was pulling away from Seb on and off at the end there,Seb was lucky at the end there that the only way he could get past Massa was in the pitlane.

Im a big fan of Massa's and yes the crash and Alonso obvouisly being favourite in that team must have put a dampner on Massa's mind but he does'nt help him self, he was stuck behind Ros for ages I mean when Alonso got a sniff of Vettel he just stuck it in there with the do or die attidude thats what Massa needs.. Take Schu for example, he was catching Rosberg up for ages and even had a go at the chicane after taking petrov "give him half a chance and he'll be like a ferrit up a drainpipe" said the famous Murrey Walker.. this is what Massa needs.. if he cant find it he'll be begging other teams to take him on. But it has to be said he partly made up for it with a good drive holding of Vettel but with a lot of lockups has to be said

Ok, the wheel nut didn't help but what did it cost him?
2 seconds?

What about the 1hr 40min of racing and the previous pit stops, doesn't that count for something?

It's a lot like a football team losing on penalties. Yes, you can blame it on the keeper but it's down to the team to ensure you don't need to go to penalties.

He can't 'blame' 5th place on his final pitstop.
