Fernando is a superb racer. Give him a car that is anywhere close to the front and he will win more times than not. He just needs a car that can be quick from the beginning of the season, instead of needing to play catch up when Ferrari get their act together.

They still suffer with being unable to get heat into the tyres in comparison to mclaren and red bull. Higher track temperatures and the use of the soft and super soft tyres should negate those issues, but as they have shown, they have moved there car forward this year, and the continued evolution of the F150 Italia will be giving them vital information for next years car.

@ dave: u seriously think Italy or better said Ferrari need lulu?? look at that guy.. whenever sth goes wrong he bashes his OWN team and if the next day everything´s fine he´ll say: oh..my team did a very very very good job, i can always rely on them.. with the wrong tyres for qualifying in silverstone he said: I think I have to take my decisios myself.. my team did this and that wrong..

Alonso brings skill, experience, passion and calmness to Ferrari. Everything that Lewis doesn´t posess and is too immature to ever acquire..

I wonder who wants to have a driver who undoubtedly is a racer but only bashes the team if EVER sth goes wrong.. have you ever seen Alonso, Massa, Vettel, Webber or even Button bashing their team..I haven´t!

Dave, some people refuse to see the difference between Hamilton the driver and Hamilton who can be petulant, immature and basically talking crap more often than not.

If Mclaren gives him a competitive car not necessarily the best, then Hammi wins his driving talents overshadows the virtues of other drivers such as Alonso who's all-round skills including using his head is just not enough for raw natural talent like Lewis. I think the difference between Lewis and Alonso one races all comers on equal terms where the other needs team orders, just remember USA 2007 and Germany 2010.
