Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has offered double world champion Fernando Alonso a ringing endorsement, rating him as 'even better' than record-breaking F1 legend Michael Schumacher in some ways

The hope that qualifying wasnt going to be too important hurt the start of the campaign for Ferrari, Im not sure if Schumacher would have let the team settle for that, in Alonsos favour though is that he is still younger than the age Schumi took his first Ferrari title.

I red this statement some days ago from another source and I couldn't wait for crash.net to post it.I am eager to read what bullsheets will post now some demons like PITSTOP,SPAGHETTIEDIE et al which understand nothing about F1 and figure you if we compare them to expert people like Domenicali.Yes Alonso is better than Schumi and I understood it since 2006,but it easy to say that Schumacher won 91 races and 7 WDMC but with a Ferrari like F2000,F2001,FF2002,F2003-GA and F2004 Alonso too would be 7 time world Champion,Hamilton and Vettel too.But with the F2006 which was challenged throughout the season by the R26 Schumacher was beaten by Alonso, although Massa managed to beat Alonso's team-mate Fisichella that season. So F2006 was a bit faster than R26 but Alonso was a bit faster than Schumacher and beated him with 13 points.

"for example when I think of the speed with which he integrated himself into the team and the way he became its leader. In this, he was much quicker than Michael, who took a while to do that"

F1 is a competition in racing not in integration on the team

Rubbish, Stefano doesn't know what he's talking about.

If it wasn't for Schumi, Ferrari would still be languishing in mid-table like they were before Schumi re-built and revitalised them when he joined in '96.

Stefano is just sucking up too the flavour of the week, the new no. 1 driver at Ferrari.

Stefano was just a junior engineer when Schumi was there anyway. What the hell would he know?

Dominicali wasn't even on the Ferrari team when Schumacher raced there, so what does he know?

Alonso will never achieve what Schumacher has done at Ferrari, especially with Domnicali at the helm. Good race driver though.

I still think it was a bad idea to pay Raikonen out of his contact at the end of 2009, since Schumachers last title for Ferrari in 2004 they have only won one WDC since and that was with Raikonen in 2007 and I can't see Fernando winning it this season on next season with Domenicalli.
