Very funny, Franz. When he gets around to asking more for his services than you are willing to pay - and this may take some time - you will change your mind, and there will be plenty of young drivers just like Vettel. It is a little too early to be comparing this guy to any of the greats. Even Hamilton and Alonso have been compared to the greats earlier in their careers, and look at them now. I don't know how anyone can say they are not as "great" as Vettel. While all these guys, plus the so-called greats are in fact great, more "greats" will arive, and they will be just like Vettel, or better.

Franz, surely you are joking? One WDC in the most dominant car in the field hardly qualifies Seb with the likes of Ayrton Senna does it? Given your logic, Jacques Villenuve also qualifies as one of the all-time greats and everyone knows that simply isn't the case.

Vettel is amongst the top drivers and I won't take away his achievements, but I think Franz should be saying that F1 won't see another designer like Adrian Newey.

Why is everyone always so sure Vettel's not "amongst the greats"? He has only one world title in the best car...bla bla bla... Listen, since hitting F1, he's been incredible, he won a race in a Torro Rosso, a car that was decent at the time but no world beater, certainly not a factor in the constructors championship, and he consistently edges ahead of Mark Webber, a guy fast enough to end the F1 careers of several ex-teammates. In the time he's had in F1, what more could Vettel have really done? The boy is a phenom, that's why he was placed in a great car so early in his career. We may as well accept it, like him or not, he's stupendously gifted.

@jo, trulli also won monaco, so wining a super wet race in not so good car is doable, that's not proving nothing let's let time decide if he's legendary or not so far i don't think he showed that "stupendously gifted" that you are talking about
