Jacques Villeneuve says Kimi Raikkonen didn't deserve the 2007 F1 title

Raikkonen won several races for McLaren over the years and came close to the championship twice in '03 and '05, missing out primarily because of lacking reliability. Then in 2007 in his first year for Ferrari he won his first race and 5 more races, which was 2 more than either Hamilton or Alonso. Even if you discount Brasil which was a gift from Massa, it's still one more than the Mclaren guys.

Pretty much, the McLaren was the (slightly) better car over the season (and would have won the constructor's championship if it weren't for the DQ), but the McLaren drivers squandered their oppertunity, Raikkonen made the best of it and won...so IMO, it's well deserved.

In '08 the car seemed to be developed to suit Massa as the year went on and in '09 the car was useless but Raikkonen managed to get another win out of it at Spa.

Didn't Hamilton smash into Raikkonen in the pits in 2007, forcing both to retire as Kimi got out in front of him, so if Hamilton hadn't hit Kimi, he would have had even more points, no?
JV putting his foot in it again.

Having read the article I had no doubt the posters would be more about bashing JV and very little about the subject at hand. Many of the post are just plane BS, nothing more.

What amazes me about Massa is that he is not a dominant member of the top 5. The #6 member on the grid. At any given race can turn up the pace and stand near the podium. Massa can in the second half upset a few who have their eye on the championship.
