F1 » Button: I'd have loved to race with Hunt at Hesketh

Regarded as something of a playboy himself during his formative career, it is perhaps little surprise that McLaren-Mercedes star Jenson Button describes James Hunt as his ideal F1 team-mate...

Quite an interesting guy JB, nice to hear current drivers that have an understanding and appreciation of the past. The thought of JB and Hunt in the same team, all you can say is lock up your daughters!
Alonso and di Resta as his ideal drivers? I can see some toys flying out Lulu's pram for not getting a mention there!

Rhino.
That is right, James hunt was F1's ultimate playboy,
With Eddie Irvine not far behind!
James Hunt was a legend for being hang over or still drunk just before the race!
But the Murray Walker and James Hunt partnership
in the BBC commentary was good, and despite Hunts reputation as the ultimate playboy, he was always very well spoken and knew what he was on about when commentating!

Erm....this interview was taken by another site....and what Crash.net fail to include in this was that when jenson was given the question of who he'd employ to drive...he was told that he couldnt include himself or his current team mate.

SO anyone who gets excited that Lewis wasnt picked by jenson...its because jenson was not allowed to pick either himself or his current team mate.

SO haters will have to move along and continue trawling the net for any other ridiculous stories they can try to twist.

I remember Murray Walker commenting in the past when him and Hunt covered just the race together, how he would have been at the ciurcuit all weekend studying livery charts and times, having watched every practice and qualifying session, and having rehersed interesting anecdotes and statistics for each driver, only for Hunt to roll in seconds before they were due on air and ask "So Murray, who's on pole?"

Buck, You know how these fanboys are, if you make the slightest tongue in cheek comment about the golden child they act as if you just stabbed their favorite pet dog!
Oh and SuperSix I have dozens of great reasons for disliking the little gimp, so no need to troll the net to find more reasons! :)

Pitstop / Dorothy, Oh I have lots more to say, I'm sure you'll love every word of it :)

Now my little cheese puff, everytime you cross swords with me you end up out of your depth, going in a sulk and threaten to leave Crash for ever and ever, when are you going to learn not to prod me? lol
