F1 » Button hoping for 'a little more luck' in the Ardennes

As he chases a repeat of his magnificent Hungaroring triumph at Spa, McLaren-Mercedes star Jenson Button admits he will require a slice more good fortune than he has enjoyed in the last two Belgian Grands Prix...

'jason can only wint with luck" - it's better to be lucky than good my friend. On a serious note, no pun intended, I believe Jason may have a pretty good chanc to be on the podium there.

JB didn't win with luck in Canada or Hungary. He did so with speed and strategy respectively. As for Spa, hopefully Jense doesn't get T-Boned by Seb while in 2nd.

When Jenson had the fastest car in 2009 he ran away with a storming lead by the halfway point in the season, His wins if i remember were not "weather permitting" wins.
The fact that he can triumph when the race conditions are bad(for everyone) tell me he is a brilliant canny ex-world champion, Go Jenson!!!!

P.S. he had me on the edge of my seat when he was chasing down Vettel and Alonso on his fresher tyres in Monaco, but that was ruined when the race got red flagged and everyone got fresh tyres, Had Petrov kept it out of the barriers that was sure to be another dry win for Button?!

Marty, Don't you think it's strange that JB can only win because of McLaren's great strategy. yet Lulu only ever loses because of McLaren's crap strategy?

Is it because Lewis is bla....ming the team all the time and his dozy fans believe his silly excuses?

UGGI you and many other mclaren (more anti vettel) fans make me laugh with this new popular assumption that anytime someone is behind Vettel that they automatically will get past, Alonso had newer tires and yet had been struggling for several laps, button honestly has not shown any more ability passing than Vettel has and he had to get around Alonso who isn't easy in the first just to have a crack at Vettel in the closing laps. Also Vettel isn't the only one who benefitted from new tires, if button and Alonso were actually fast than the new rubber would have boosted them as well, but whatever my new refrain with mclaren kids has become... "logic and facts are boring."

@ devilsadvocate I am not a Vettel or Alonso hater, Quite the opposite in fact, Vettel was already slowing on very worn tyres, as he had already run an amazing amount of laps on them, and it looked like Alonso had to pit again also. Jenson had just pitted remember and was on a serious charge to get back up front, SO! The point i was making was Vettels tyres were done and alonso's would have struggled to do the rest of the race, I never said Jenson's (or Mclarens) abilities were greater or were the best or slagged off any driver, but on that day the rcae was coming to Jenson and Vettel would have definately had to pit, and Alonso wouldn't have been going very fast on his tyres if they made it to the end, but Jensons would have been fine.
P.S. Think back a couple of races when that Button fella came from last on the track behind the safety car to win the race, His overtaking seemed to be ok that day, He probably did more overtaking in that race than SOME OTHERS have managed all season!!
