F1 » Hamilton: I had a huge tank-slapper of a moment...

Lewis Hamilton: We look pretty good in the wet, but I think the car is pretty solid in the dry too. It's also difficult to get the car set up to be competitive both with and without DRS, so it's going to be really close – although it looks as though the same cars as usual are going to be up at the front.

To anyone else it would have been a twitch but to Lulu it was a huge tank-slapper and only his super human levels of alertness saved the day! Hand the melodramatic little gimp an Oscar and be done with it.

get over it shreiker. a number of drivers also had similar or worse moments, but havent come out and said that they had "huge tank-slappers. if we were not allowed to make a humourous comment, then surely crash.net wouldnt leave the comment thread open?
i cant speak for ty, but i wouldnt call him a "hater"!

ps. just looked at your older comments. you seem quite happy to slag schumi off. does that make YOU a "hater"??

I'm starting to get the impression that some of the Lulu fans don't like me Richard, was it something I said? (lol)

As for you Shreiker the only thing that I pray for when it comes to Lulu is a severe case of laryngitis to hopefully keep his trap shut for a spell.

Jose I watched the "huge tank-slapper" as it happened, did you or are you just talking when you should be listening again?

No they can't. It's a biking term, where it actually describes the violent rapid oscillating movement of the headstock so the clip-ons and riders' arms literally 'slap the tank' (although in the larger classes it's actually an airbox for the downdraught carbs now as the petrol tank is further back and lower). Car drivers have merely appropriated the phrase to make a little twitch sound dramatic.

mm - Some karts have tanks between the drivers legs so it is easy to see how this term could be carried over to other 4 wheel vehicles. You are kind of reaching if this all that you can come with to argue about on this topic.

@Agent provocateur,
From the second this story appeared about Lewis I knew the resident would appear. Like a bitch in heat or
some jive $10 junkie, man time to give it up. This
Hamilton hate thing is getting old. IF you have some
personal tenderness for Hamilton, cool, Take it under ground, not here on the forum, we understand. After
all we know its not just about hate?..Right..
