The penalties reflect the amount of blame. Sure Hamilton twitched in his direction...but that hardly caused the crash. Maldonado had all the room in the world so there was really no reason he should have been anywhere near Hamilton. Especially as the flag had already dropped. There was no reason for it at all and that is why he has a five place penalty.

I think the stewards got it right here, though Maldonado is very lucky that his penalty wasn't more severe. I thought the original overtaking move was fair by Hamilton, but he did 'twitch' toward Maldonado after the session was over. That, though, was nothing when compared to Maldonado actually running into Hamilton. Now that I'm sure both drivers have well and truly cooled off, I think we're all ready to get back to the real topic... tomorrows race.

The adolescent Hamilton needs simply to be removed from racing before he truly hurts someone. Maldonado was on the last turn of a lap that might have elevated him to Q3, when Hamilton, who thinks no one should ever be in his majesty's way, pushed him aside for no good reason. Hamilton then jinked at Maldonado on the cool-down, and the already miffed Maldonado made a poorly judged but understandable reply.

Most of Hamilton's "Brilliant" passes are at the expense of shunting another driver out of the corner. I don't understand how that's brilliant. He is a danger to himself and other drivers.

That was out of order to ram into the side of another car,He needs to calm down,Why would any driver do that and risk damage to there own car MAD!!!!!!!!!!.
