No need for McClaren to go to the matresses every time THIS driver has access to the press, must be something of a relief. I wonder how high the public liability premiums have risen with Master Hamilton's comments of late.

The McLaren strategist makes a habit of blunting the efforts of his drivers. This is just yet another of the many examples we have seen all season. When is Whitmarsh going to get things right consistently?

Jenson get it,then Hamilton gets it and so on and so forth.

The usual weak explanation is, “We'll investigate exactly why that happened, but with hindsight perhaps we should have......"etc ,etc

I just hope he doesn't mess up again during the race. But I'm afraid it will happen again, and again, and again.

Poor old Jenson. Is he ever going to be allowed to show his full potential. He's had a good run of late and has certainly had the measure of Hamilton and most of the others. The problem for Jenson is that McLaren are never going to allow him to become a threat to Hamilton in the points race especially while Uncle Ron stands at the back of the garage directing proceedings in favour of the No3 car. In free practice and in qualifying yesterday he was one of the quickest if not the quickest car out there. To end up 13th on the grid through no fault of his own is absolutely disgusting. I would advise Jenson from here on in to ignore his radio and drive for himself. If there is any fairness left in the sport, given that no one doctors his car, he has the talent and could show the rest a clean pair of tyres for the rest of the season. He is also the best ambassador the sport has and so diplomatic. A true gentleman. GOOD LUCK JENSON.

Great drive Jenson, you were definitely the best driver out there today and thoroughly deserved the 3rd place podium. Keep it up for the rest of the season and show all the doubters you are one of the best. Good Luck Jenson. The west country is right there behind you.
