McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh admits that too many mistakes have made it easier for Red Bull in 2011.

Spa should have been a win. Monaco should have been a win. Mclaren have been dodgy in their decision making this year and it has cost them at least 2 victories. Hopefully they get it right for Monza. Last year Button did a lot better than he should have, and he seems to be the form driver at the minute. Hamilton normally comes back strong after a bad race too so good reason to think Macca could have this one. They need to sort their straight line speed though.

Considering Suzuka, Korea, and Abu Dhabi, all seem to suit Vettel and the RBR package, Martin's proposition is a bit ambitious putting it politely, add to that the fact Vettel only has to average 4th place for the rest of the season and not even his closest challenger can top him, much less the two "also rans" at 4th an 5th.
Perhaps Martin should be more concerned with Ferrari sneaking ever closer in the constructors while both mclarens can't seem to find the checkered flag together.

I agree Pitstop3 and also if they keep up this good work hopefully next season they can start with this sort of form instead of dropping half a season.
