F1 » Button threatening to leave Hamilton trailing

The current form book at McLaren-Mercedes makes for interesting reading - since all the signs point to Lewis Hamilton being defeated by his team-mate in the title standings for the first time in his F1 career...

Lewis has been taking bigger risks to win the Championship, Jenson is Mr Steady.

So what.

Lewis has a talent that puts him head and shoulders above his contemporaries, no matter how you look at statistics.

What happens every time we have tricky conditions ? The true judge of skill .... there is only one winner.

Top Marks to Jenson though, he is faring very well against the best there is, the Rapier and the Foil, probably the best combination of drivers I have seen in 34 years of F1.

I personally do not think that Lewis will finish behind Jenson this year, and there are plently more races left for him to prove this! I would also like to comment that Lewis has in fact won TWO races this year equaling that of Jenson!! He won in Turkey and Germany and came 2nd twice as well. Given that Lewis is only 3 points behind Jenson, who is the inferior driver in my opinion, and also he will be wanting to prove himself in Monza given his mistake at the weekend. I will give Jenson credit, whenever anything happens to Lewis, Jenson seems to step up to the mark and do better

I don't agree with Button, he wasn't honest in what he said about not thinking of the points and beating his team mate.
I believe that every driver's first priority is beating his team mate all the rest will fall into place according to how good a job he has done.

The truth is that Jenson drives with his brain and Lulu drives using his balls. I think Jenson has actually been good for Lulu as he collects points when Lulu doesn't. As for saying Lulu is the best driver, come off it. He isn't in the top 3 and has failed the meet the hype that surrounded him when he became a f1 driver.I think this year Lulu has felt the pressure and buckled at time and made some bad decisions out on the race track. Jenson has never been given the praise he deserves but his true fans know how good he is.........and so did Ross Brawn and now Martin Whitmarsh. Even EJ has started to appreciate Jenson's driving.

What!!! The fastest, hardest charging, most audacious overtaker in the history of the sport trailing to his team mate! Must be a temporary glitch, he has had a few of those though hasnt he, seven races for him to redress the situation by learning how Jenson has managed to be ahead, or Ron Dennis turning up to races to oversee the lessons!

So lemi get this straight, Button is apparently having an excellent season and he's only 3 points ahead of his teammate who's having his worst season ever. That speaks volumes.

Did Crash hire ex news of the world writers for headlines like these? And the story itself, just regurgitating the obvious. Slow news day, lets put Button, Hamilton, threatening, and leaving in one headline, sorry, could't fit Ron and Bernie
