@elijah

Why is it deserved ? he doesn't deserve it on this years performances in general.

If he wins then good for him, I won't be disappointed but he doesn't deserve it more than any other driver.

His car should have a decent straight line speed and be a competitive package, if he hits someone and retires his season will reach a new low.

Anyone else noticed how Lewis' bad races seem to come in twos? Monaco/Montreal this year, Monza/Singapore last...?

I think I'm past caring who wins any more, the championship is definitely Vettel's now. I think Ferrari and McLaren should use the rest of the races to test for next years car.

@Taz
Deserved yes. If he did not have the off at Spa he would have been strongly favoured for a race win. If he does not make any mistakes in Monza, then why shouldn't he deserve a win.
No one tries as hard to win a race as Hamilton. It's just the tiniest extra effort which results in winning and losing, or passing the car in front and being simply unable to pass lap after lap like Vettel which makes Hamilton's driving a far more exciting visual experience. Jensen and Alonso are great drivers with Alonso edging it, but Hamilton's talent is greater than both of them. So, if Hamilton can hold it together at Monza and no one decides to take him out, he would deserve a win.

"if no one decides to take him out" Why do Hammy fans have such a persecution complex? It is the other drivers who should be worried about being taken out.

Hopefully with DRS he won't try to win the race on lap one again this year.

@Elijah - how do you know nobody tries as hard as lala? Are you basing this statement on the fact that while he is attempting to win he crashes more than anybody?

The good place for him to start would be to finish the race elijah.

It is my understanding that he travels with an entourage, I do not know if this is true or not but...if it is then he needs to just focus on himself and his team, leave the party home and just bring those that are necessary. That means, send the girfriend shopping and the brother on vacation and everyone else can fend for themselves. He needs to get back to his roots and do this the rest of the season. Just a thought! :) Ed

elijah. "no one tries as hard to win as lulu...." who are you kidding? i would believe that at the least, everyone in the top 6 is trying equally hard to win. the problem is that lulu OVERDRIVES. button is trying just as hard, but by driving within the limits of the car, can still win.
