Not sure how complimenting another driver and NOT just saying it's all the car is sour grapes?!?!

A driver has to make the best of the machinery he's given - and Vettel has definitely made the best of having the best car this year, whereas Webber is only just ahead of the others. Maybe his racecraft and overtaking needs to be improved - but if your car allows you to be out in front, you simply don't have cause to show these skills! Maybe in a lesser car we'd see this side more, who knows?

I do think there are areas Vettel needs to develop, but I also think he has developed since last season. After Spa 10 I was sure he was going to have another 'crash kid' moment during the season but he didn't, and he hasn't yet in 11. Maybe not the finished article yet, but he's doing a great job with the car he's got. It's fair to question aspects of his driving which this season he hasn't had cause to evidence, but I find it very hard to criticise how he's performed on the whole this year.

Alonso saying that Vettels success is due to the Red Bull team and the car is just stating the obvious, its like saying if Lewis was in a Red Bull he would of had the championship rapped up by now.

FFS - the whole article is about Alonso complimenting VETTEL, not the car! Sure he references RBR having the best car (I struggle to see how anyone can argue differently), but he talks about what VETTEL is doing with it!!!

"if Lewis was in a Red Bull he would of had the championship rapped up by now"

More like if Lewis was in a Red Bull he would have put Red Bull out of business by now.

If, as some claim, Seb is merely "an average driver", and only wins because he has the best car - what does that make Mark Webber ? Surely by definition he must be a BELOW AVERAGE driver - has the best car, and still can't win the championship... (a bit like DC then, really...). True champions can win in anything - like Schuey did in a Benneton, or in a Ferrari when they hadn't won anything for over 20 years... Maybe Lewis hamilton would do well to remember that fact too.

Its down to the other teams on the grid to match or better the Red Bull machine consistantly, then Vettel will have convince the doubters about his ability to race, even though he showed those abilities before he joined Red Bull. Im sure Mark Webber is in no doubt as to how good he is, and neither is Alonso!

When has Lewis ever put any team out of business in f1 or in f3, AB stop talking rubbish and stop making hate get the better of you.

The fact is if you put any of the current top ten drivers in a a Red Bull partnering Webber they would be doing what Vettel has done this season.

"if Lewis was in a Red Bull he would of had the championship rapped up by now"
That could well be true - but he probably wouldn't have the championship WRAPPED up by now !
