F1 » Liuzzi penalised after 'torpedoing' Rosberg, Petrov

Vitantonio Liuzzi: I had a good start getting past both Virgins, Lotuses and Daniel [Ricciardo, my team-mate] but then I went for another overtaking manoeuvre and got closed out. That put me into the grass and once I was there I tried to slow down but completely lost control of the car and unfortunately hit other cars. I am really sorry for Petrov, Rosberg and the other drivers who were forced to retire because of this.

dont be so hard on tonio. have a look at the replays. he was accellorating hard and was alongside kovi, when kovi moved across and forced tonio onto the grass. so it was not entirely tonios fault.

@Binza

No he hadn't, it's just that he was sideways on the grass not slowing down while most of the grid was slowing down or taking the 1st turn.

He'd made an ok start to be fair and was along side a Lotus when he went on the grass.

Out qualified by Ricardo too, bad day at the office.
