Although that is bad news for the rest of this season, it provides hope for the next one, as a competitive disadvantage of theirs will be erased with the blown diffuser ban.

Hopefully this means Sauber will be more competitive next season as their two drivers deserve a car that can allow them to challenge higher up.

Yeah I don't buy it. There was lots of shouting from rival teams about a ban but the ban came and was overturned over just a couple weeks. Sauber obviously cut their development much earlier taking a punt on the tech being banned and it wasn't. It just sounds like excuses for not being capable of adapting it to their car.
