He hasn't won it yet, but its all over for the rest of the front runners. SV will need to crash in practice and be injured until 2012 for JB, MW or FA to win. Forget about No. 1, the battle for 2nd in the championship is where its at!

Vettel being modest, he knows he has the 2011 season wrapped up. Still not sure if he is the best driver on the grid with the RB7 stepping up to another level on the Monza track which Red Bull says isn't there favourite circuit. But we all have to admit the Vettel/RB7 package has been much to good for the rest and i credit Vettel for his professionalism as i believe he was the only f1 driver that visited the Pirelli tyre factory pre 2011 season to familiarize himself with the tyres new spec.

Technically he is correct.... it isn't over until the Fat Lady sings.... though it looks like she will be recording an album this year instead of a single!

Vettel has the title in his grasp now, it would take something very stupid for him to lose the title now!

Even if Vettel stop racing now, with 4 remaining top drivers of Alonso, Button, Hamilton & Webber capable of taking points away from each other for sharing the top flight, no one will overtake Vettel on points. It is as good as over for the WDC now.

Official: Vettel switches focus for 2012 championship

2010 WDC Sebastian Vettel has announced that with just a few races remaining, all available resources will now switch to 2012. Vettel accepts that the championship is all but mathematically wrapped this year and no more time or energy will be spent discussing it. He now aims to divert his focus to 2012, intending to hit the the championship with both feet running and winning the first 20 races of next year's championship.

I think I heard somewhere that if Alonso gets on the podium in Singapore, Vettel will have to wait until the next race to be crowned.

Come on Alonso, make him wait!
