Could Kimi Raikkonen be considering an F1 return with one of the sport's less successful teams of recent times?

Oh man! I am posting quite late here!.

In my opinion, unless Kimi has adopted islam (Then he couldnt drink) or comes with lots of money in his pocket, It would be a total mistake for williams to sign him. Wiliams has already too many problems to get another one. Unless Adam Parr knows something we dont know!

Kimi has just replaced Jacques Villeneuve as the ex-driver who is making a come back every fall. He know's by visiting Williams it keeps his name in the news. JV is still the master at this, keeping his name out there for the last 10+ years.

Haha omg people you are not thinking. Kimi joins williams, takes 15 million paycheck and he is happy. It's way more than he is making at the moment. Then stay with williams for 1 year and works his way up to a better team. He was just 1 point behind lewis in the overall drivers standings in 2009

how come wrc is an embarrasment for him,he was struggling last year but this year he has been very good,i agree he is no loeb but he has been in top8 almost all the races he has participated in.

its very difficult for f1 drivers to adapt to rally ,try and put lewis into a rally stage and he will crash into a tree every corner until he retires

kimifan. kimi to get 15m from frank? you must be joking! more likely to be charged 15m. frank couldnt afford more than a million or two, otherwise he would be chasing nick , nico etc. maybe kimi was considering buying into the team?

@richard. Frank is like scruge but he will be happy to pay Kimi that money! Kimi might even attract sponcers to.the team. Its not much money for a driver of that quality. Frank is going to get him for a bargain maybe even 10 million

Williams have been the best Cosworth powered team for a couple of years now, even while slipping further towards the back of the grid at the same time. Next year a little competition with Red Bull, LRGP and Team Lotus could at least move them back towards the midfield. A decent pair of drivers could see them beat all bar Red Bull in the Renault mini league which would definately be a step in the right direction. Of the drivers associated up to now, Rubens appears to be the only one who can set up a car, his problem being that you dont get the impression that he is putting Maldanado to the sword. LRGP have shown the effects of that scenario already this year, Adrian Sutil isnt exactly putting his rookie team mate in his place either. In his defence Kimi Raikkonen did appear to liven up after Hungary 2009 when the Ferrari had to rely on him.

I'm sorry but he's no JV, he didn't waste his career sat at the back of the grid after starting with such promise.

As much as I like JV as you say he knows how to play the media, Kimi on the other hand couldn't careless what the media think and thats one of the reasons people like him, same goes for Montoya as far as i'm concerned and if people got off his back Lewis Hamilton could be the same.

I dread to think what people would say if Senna or James Hunt were just coming on the scene now
